Museum of…
Is a project that originates from somewhere in the European countryside, where it was built on a deserted piece of land. Museum of… consists of a hidden pavilion; a construction that claims to be a museum but actually is an artwork that refuses to be defined. It is a monument, exhibition space, a museum, a work hidden in a no-man’s-land, that can only be found through its geographic coordinates. A place for art and its viewer, shielded from the large public. An independent initiative that does not engage with the market, populism, politics or social engagement and defies superimposed opinions. Museum of… is a place, artwork that can be discovered and savored in solitude, without any external influences, as a highly personal experience. It changes its name – and by that its nature – per presentation.

Museum of… was founded in January 2014, at the coordinates; 39.604271, -8.325293 , where 9 presentations were organised. In 2016 it moved its premises to a different location to continue the activities at the coordinates; 50.690472, 15.201889, where 13 presentations took place. The new Museum of… is called Museum of it’s about Nothing and opened in March 2023 at the coordinates : 53.210901, 6.534937 , its a counterpart of the previous Museums, has left the white cube behind, and is located in a complete different environment.

There are no openings or finissages, no attendants or exhibition texts. The visitors are there by themselves and for themselves. They are given the possibility to discover the work in peace and quiet and are invited to create their own story.
Without an address and hidden under a camouflage netting, it is a haven for the true art lover who is looking for adventure as well as a curious passer-by who is given an unexpected experience when he encounters it on their path.
The space has free access for everybody. Museum of… is open from sunrise until sunset.

For entering the new Museum you need a code of 4 numbers to open the lock, you can find it on this page in red. Please lock the Museum again after visiting.

All the presentations will be announced via:  https://museumof.co, www.facebook.com/museumof, instagram: @museumof_  and email. At the end of each presentation the documentation will be shared through the website.
